Wir empfehlen Ihnen, sich ein bisschen mehr Zeit zu nehmen f\u00fcr die Reading Exercise 3, denn es handelt sich dabei um den<strong> l\u00e4ngsten und anspruchsvollsten Text<\/strong> der drei.<\/p>\n<p>Die gestellten Fragen k\u00f6nnen unterschiedlichster Art sein: von Multiple-Choice-Fragen, \u00fcber offene Fragen hin zum Erg\u00e4nzen von Stichworten in Diagrammen und Graphiken.<\/p>\n<p>Wie bei den ersten beiden Reading Exercises gibt es auch bei der IELTS Exercise 3 <strong>inhaltliche Unterschiede zwischen den beiden Versionen IELTS Academic und IELTS General Training<\/strong>. Etwas mehr im Detail:<\/p>\n<h3>IELTS Academic<\/h3>\n<p>Diese Version des IELTS-Sprachtests richtet sich vor allem an Studenten, die im Ausland studieren m\u00f6chten.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Es handelt sich bei den Texten im Leseverst\u00e4ndnis um eher <strong>wissenschaftliche Texte zu akademischen Themen von allgemeinem Interesse<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Die Texte k\u00f6nnen aus <strong>Zeitungen, Zeitschriften oder B\u00fcchern<\/strong> stammen.<\/li>\n<li>Vorkenntnisse zum Thema sind nicht n\u00f6tig. Die Fachbegriffe werden in einer<\/li>\n<li>W\u00f6rterliste, einem sogenannten <strong>Glossary<\/strong>, am Ende des Textes erkl\u00e4rt.<\/li>\n<li>Erg\u00e4nzend zum Text werden manchmal auch <strong>Diagramme und Grafiken benutzt<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Ziel beim Reading ist es, Ihr<strong> allgemeines Verst\u00e4ndnis von Texten<\/strong> und dessen Struktur zu evaluieren.<\/li>\n<li>Die Texte k\u00f6nnen unterschiedliche Stile haben:<strong> beschreibend, er\u00f6rternd oder erz\u00e4hlend<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wie erw\u00e4hnt, ist die Reading Exercise 3 die <strong>anspruchsvollste der drei Aufgaben<\/strong> und besteht meistens aus dem l\u00e4ngsten Text.<\/p>\n<h3>IELTS General Training<\/h3>\n<p>Im Gegensatz zum Academic richtet sich die Version General Training an alle Personen, die im englischsprachigen Ausland leben und\/oder arbeiten m\u00f6chten.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>W\u00e4hrend die Exercises 1 und 2 meistens aus mehreren kurzen Texten bestehen, handelt es sich bei der Exercise 3 um <strong>einen langen Text<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Das Thema des Textes ist von <strong>allgemeinem Interesse<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Der Textstil ist entweder <strong>deskriptiv<\/strong> (beschreibt etwas) <strong>oder instruierend<\/strong> (erkl\u00e4rt, wie man etwas macht)<\/li>\n<li>Texte stammen von Hinweisen, Werbungen, Firmenhandb\u00fcchern, offiziellen Dokumenten, B\u00fcchern, Zeitschriften oder Zeitungen.<\/li>\n<li>Ziel ist es zu sehen, ob Sie <strong>Meinungen, Haltungen und Absichten der Autoren erkennen<\/strong> und einer Er\u00f6rterung folgen k\u00f6nnen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Auch bei dieser IELTS-Version ist der <strong>dritte Teil am anspruchsvollsten<\/strong>. Idealerweise etwas mehr als ein Drittel der Gesamtzeit.<\/p>\n<h3>Synonyme kennen<\/h3>\n<p>Der Text enth\u00e4lt normalerweise nicht die gleichen W\u00f6rter, die in den Fragen vorkommen. Das hei\u00dft, Sie m\u00fcssen im Text entsprechende Synonyme und Paraphrasen finden. Ein breiter Wortschatz zahlt sich hier aus.<\/p>\n<h3>Fragen gut lesen<\/h3>\n<p>Bevor Sie den Text zu lesen beginnen, lohnt es sich, die Fragen gut durchzulesen. Damit wissen Sie, worauf Sie im Text achten m\u00fcssen und wonach Sie suchen. Antworten Sie au\u00dferdem pr\u00e4zise auf die gestellten Fragen, alles andere wird als inkorrekt gewertet.<\/p>\n<h3>Sinn des Textes verstehen<\/h3>\n<p>Sie m\u00fcssen nicht jedes Wort kennen. Wichtig ist, der Sinn des Textes und die grundlegenden Ideen dahinter zu verstehen. Within the span of two centuries, in three separate regions of Eurasia, spiritual movements emerged that would give rise to the world\u2019s major moral religions, those preaching some combination of compassion, humility and asceticism. Scholars often attribute the rise of these moral religions&#8211; Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Christianity included&#8211; to population growth, seeing morality as a necessary social stabilizer in increasingly large and volatile human communities. Yet findings from a recent study published in Current Biology point to a different factor: rising affluence.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>B<\/strong> The authors investigated variables relating to political complexity and living standards. Affluence emerged as a major force in the rise of moral religion, in particular, access to energy. Across cultures moral religions abruptly emerged when members of a population could reliably source 20,000 calories of energy a day,including food (for humans and livestock), fuel and raw materials.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>C<\/strong> \u201cThis number appears to correspond with a certain peace of mind,\u201d says lead author Nicolas Baumard, a research scientist at \u00c9cole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure in Paris. \u201cHaving a roof over your head, not feeling like the world is full of predators and enemies, knowing that you\u2019ll have enough to eat tomorrow.\u201d As Baumard points out, psychology research shows that affluence appears to influence our motivations and reward circuitry away from short-term gain to also considering the benefits of long-term strategy. In other words, with a steady energy supply, we had more time to cooperate, cultivate skills and consider consequences.
