In Mexican culture, death is seen as a natural part of the<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>human cycle. Mexicans believe that dead people should be remembered with<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>joy, not with sadness. It is also believed that during this holiday, the spirits of<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>those who have passed have permission to come and visit us in the physical<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>world.. Altars are made to honor the dead people. Their spirits can find their<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>favorite food and drinks and people bring musicians to the cemetery, so the<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>spirits can enjoy their favorite music.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>You will be scored on <strong>pronunciation<\/strong>, of course, but also your level of <strong>natural intonation<\/strong> and <strong>speed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Task 2: Picture Narration<\/h3>\n<p>You will be shown a series of six pictures. You\u2019ll need to <strong>tell the story<\/strong> the pictures tell. You\u2019ll have one minute to prepare and one minute to record your story.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>The six images below show what Matt does every day. First, look at the pictures and prepare your sentences. Then, you will be told when to record your story. You will have one minute to prepare. The <strong>grammar and vocabulary<\/strong> you use need to be appropriate and varied.<\/p>\n<h3>Task 3: Non-academic Listen-Speak<\/h3>\n<p>Next, you\u2019ll hear a <strong>teacher or students<\/strong> talking about something to do with school, then you\u2019ll need to talk about it. You can take notes as you listen to the recording. You\u2019ll have 45 seconds to prepare and one minute to speak.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Example transcript excerpt:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>W- Recycling is not complicated once you learn how to use the different waste <\/em><em>bins.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>Paper must be separated from other waste. If you throw paper away, it must<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>be torn, not crumpled. The reason is simple: crumpled paper loses its value<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>during recycling. It must be dry to avoid having accidents while transporting it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>Glass has its own bin. You are not allowed to throw away plant pots or broken<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><em>porcelain dishes in this bin.
