Como ya hemos visto en la anterior entrada de este blog, el primer condicional lo usamos para referirnos a situaciones determinadas, a cosas que tienen una posibilidad alta de que ocurran. En este art\u00edculo vamos a hablar<strong> del segundo de los condicionales,<\/strong> que es el que se refiere a situaciones poco probables. Simple + Sujeto + Would + Infinitivo<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>If you won the lottery, you would travel the whole world.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Si ganaras la loter\u00eda, viajar\u00edas por todo el mundo.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>If I didn\u2019t each so much sugar, I would be healthier.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Si no comiera tanta az\u00facar, estar\u00eda m\u00e1s sano.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>El afirmativo, el negativo y el interrogativo<\/h3>\n<p>El segundo condicional se puede adaptar, adem\u00e1s de a frases afirmativas, a negativas e interrogativas. Recuerda aplicar la f\u00f3rmula: <strong>If + Pasado Simple + Sujeto + Would + Infinitivo<\/strong>. Un error muy com\u00fan al formular el segundo condicional, es mezclarlo o confundirlo con el primer condicional.<\/p>\n<p>Por ejemplo, ser\u00eda incorrecto decir:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>If I am tall, I would be happier.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Si soy alto, ser\u00eda m\u00e1s feliz.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Esta frase est\u00e1 mal, ya que aqu\u00ed estamos utilizando presente simple en la primera parte de la frase, y el \u2018<strong>would<\/strong>\u2019 en la segunda, algo que nunca debe hacerse. Lo correcto ser\u00eda:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>If I were tall, I would be happier.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Si fuera alto, ser\u00eda m\u00e1s feliz.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nota<\/strong>: aunque te suene raro \u2018<em>were<\/em>\u2019 y te suene mejor \u2018<em>was<\/em>\u2019 (de hecho, muchos nativos utilizan \u2018<em>was<\/em>\u2019), recuerda que NO es correcto. Por ejemplo:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>If I got that job, I will move to Vancouver.\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Si consigo ese trabajo, me mudar\u00e9 a Vancouver.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>If I got that job, I would move to Vancouver.\u00a0<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Si consiguiera ese trabajo, me mudar\u00eda a Vancouver.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ambas frases son correctas. La diferencia es que, en la primera, la persona demuestra m\u00e1s confianza en que conseguir\u00e1 el trabajo y se mudar\u00e1 a Vancouver. Sin embargo, en la segunda, la persona puede querer ese trabajo, pero no est\u00e1 segura que lo conseguir\u00e1.<\/p>\n<h2>Ejercicios de conjugaci\u00f3n sobre el segundo condicional en ingl\u00e9s<\/h2>\n<p>Elige la frase correcta para formar el Second Conditional.
