Before you register or start to prepare for any exam, it’s a good idea to get an idea of what you will encounter and the processes involved.
Firstly, Linguaskill is similar to the well-known TOEIC language exam in that both exams are intended for work purposes. Linguaskill is administered by Cambridge English Language Assessment, who are one of the big, global players in the language testing development and administration field.
Secondly, Linguaskill will test your ability to use English for writing, speaking, listening and reading, so it covers all four of the main skills. You need to prepare for each of these areas. Since Linguaskill is generally used for employment, the majority of the topics and vocabulary relate to the work world.
Thirdly, Linguaskill will assess you on all levels of the CEFR –Common European Framework of Reference for languages. The CEFR uses a scale that ranges from A1 (beginner up to C2 (fluent advanced user) Your Linguaskill score will correspond to a CEFR level. The exam will take about two hours for you to complete.
Finally, always use official descriptions and guidelines and don’t rely on information from outdated sources. We here at GlobalExam keep our information up-to-date and relevant, so you can rely on us.
