The HSK Exam is an exam for the Chinese language (Mandarin). HSK stands for Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (汉语水平考试), which means Mandarin Level Test. The HSK comes in six different levels from elementary up to the advanced level. The exam is organized by the Chinese education ministry and is an official and well-recognized exam.

With the growing influence of China, more and more people are taking up Mandarin. It’s an interesting language and quite learnable if you put in some time and effort. The problem is that you may not have good, reliable information on how to prepare for the HSK. It’s not a new exam, but the increased interest in it is kind of new.
