TOEIC ®: Boost your CV
TOEIC: What is it?
There are three TOEIC exams.
All TOEIC exams assess your command of English in a professional context. It is a real recruitment tool!
- TOEIC Listening and Reading
- TOEIC Speaking and Writing
- TOEIC Bridge for beginner and intermediate levels
The TOEIC Listening and Reading exam (the most popular) only assesses your oral and written comprehension. It is required by more than 15 000 companies in the world and a good TOEIC score is increasingly regarded as a real asset to include on your CV for numerous positions, in all lines of business. The test lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
How to prepare for your TOEIC exam?
Everybody can take the TOEIC! Preparing for the test is an essential step for everyone who wants to obtain the highest possible score. However, first and foremost, it is necessary to gain a good proficiency in English. It is pointless to rush into the TOEIC if you don’t already have the foundations of English.
The e-learning solution that we propose is a good compromise between lessons, in a classroom for example, and a trip abroad. Thus you can immerse yourself in the English language without having to travel to an English-speaking country. This service is available at all times and on all platforms: you can train at your own pace for rapid and visible results. You can improve your level of English while assimilating the TOEIC exam rules thanks to similar exercises under real test conditions.
We would advise you to prepare for your exam as soon as you feel ready to certify your English level. The organisation which issues the TOEIC exam does not use a pass/fail marking scheme but instead assesses your level on a scale of 20 to 990 points. Your TOEIC result is considered a real advantage when presenting your CV during a job interview because you can show your future employer that you are experienced in the English language. Furthermore, the recruiter can objectively compare your level to that of other candidates. They will know your score in relation to the marking scale and can see at a glance how your level compares with other candidates. The mere fact that you have demonstrated a veritable and recognised level of English in an internationally recognised test is a guarantee of reliability. Please note that the TOEIC test is valid for 2 years.
Of course, the online training on the GlobalExam website is eligible for the CPF (Court Personnel de Formation). You can have this training course financed by your employer.
