There are two separate parts to the TOEIC test:

Listening and Reading gives a score between 10 and 990, ranging from no useful proficiency (10-180) up to international proficiency (905-990)

Speaking and Writing tests are scored out of 200; Scores from 170 – 200 are excellent

There are two parts: Listening/Reading

About one hour long

100 questions

Results are valid for a 2 year period

Scores range from 10 to 90 on each section for a total score range of 20-180

Score of 40 in listening, for example, would indicate an A1 level on the CEFR

Score of 85 in reading, for example, would indicate B1 level on the CEFR in that skill

Which one should I choose?

You need to figure out what you want the results for. Also, you need a general idea of your skill level. If you are a beginner, then TOEIC Bridge may be for you. If you believe that your English is pretty darn good, then the regular TOEIC exam would be your choice.

People seeking employment at an international firm where they have need of good business English would sit for the TOEIC and show the score to potential employers.

In contrast, a company or school with staff or students who probably have less English proficiency and wanted to find out what the English language skills of their staff or students are would probably choose the TOEIC Bridge exam.
