Where to take the IELTS exam in Dublin?

Dublin is a city of history, friendly people, and luck! When you register online to take the IELTS exam here you can choose different places to take it. All exams are booked through the British Council IELTS website. Make sure you choose the exam centre best for you and the dates you want. During registration you will be asked to upload a copy of your ID. Don’t forget to take this same document with you on the test day. The exam costs 200 euros which is paid during registration.

How do I get to the test venue?

The CES centre in Merrion Square is in the centre of the city and there are many buses that stop along that road – bus numbers 25, 25b, 25d, 26, 33x, 66, 66a etc.

The University College Dublin Applied Language Centre is easily accessible by using public buses – bus numbers 25x, 27x, 32x, 41x, 51x etc

CES Dublin 2 City Centre Test Centre (31 Dame Street) is in the heart of the city and in a walkable area if you are staying in the city.

All information about public bus timetables and ticket prices can easily be found online. Double check all routes before you leave for the test. Maybe even take a trip there the day before just to make sure you are going to the right place!
