HSK 5 – Listening Comprehension
STRUCTURE
- 2 exercises (45 questions).
- 30 minutes to answer the questions, then 5 minutes to write down your answers on the answer sheet.
- Each recording will only be played once.
Tip: The recordings can be quite long. You should focus on the key words (places, action verbs…). If there is a dialogue that you have not understood, do not waste too much time thinking about it, you might lose focus and miss the next one.
HSK 5 – Listening Comprehension – Exercise 1
Exercise 1 contains 20 questions.
For each question, you will listen to a conversation between a woman and a man. Each will give a sentence. A third person will then ask a question based on the conversation. You need to give the answer to that question by choosing one of the 4 choices.

Tip: Read all 4 possible answers before listening to the recording. This will allow you to focus better on key words and useful information.
HSK 5 – Listening Comprehension – Exercise 2
Exercise 1 contains 25 questions.
2 types of questions:
- You will listen to a conversation: 2 to 3 sentences said by a man and 2 to 3 by a woman. A third person will ask a question based on the conversation. You need to choose the right answer from 4 choices.
- You will listen to an audio track of 3 to 5 sentences. You will then be asked a few questions. For each question, you need to give the right answer among 4 choices.
