What Can the IELTS Test Venues in Nottingham Provide You With?

At the University of Nottingham, if you take the computer-based IELTS, there will be a computer and headphones for you.

At the Mobile Testing Solutions Ltd, if you take the computer-based IELTS, there will also be a computer and headphones for you.

The day of the exam, you must bring:

  • your ID card or passport, you cannot take the test without it. If you passport sits at the Home Office, you need to ask them to return it for the exam day, otherwise you won’t be accepted in the test room
  • a pencil and a pen (the pencil will be used for the listening and reading tests)
  • an eraser
  • your mask

We also advise you to bring:

  • a transparent water bottle

You will not be able to take anything else into the testing room.

What else is there to keep in mind?

Turn off your cell phone and any other electronic device. You will be asked to place these devices with your other personal effects outside the testing room, such as your watch. There will be a clock in the test room for you to check your time.

You will be able to leave all your personal belongings in a secure space. The examination center cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to your personal effects at the test site. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you leave your valuables, including cell phones and computers, at home.

Make sure to eat beforehand as food is not allowed in the exam room.

Just bring what is really necessary for the exam in order to avoid any risk of loss!

Finally, remember that you will only be able to use the toilets during the allocated times, which exclude: when the instructions are being given, during the last ten minutes of each part of the test, while the papers are being counted at the end of each part, while the Listening CD is playing.

IELTS Nottingham: How Can You Register Online and in Person?

How to Register for the Test Online

You can register online in Nottingham with the IELTS exam center.

If you want to register online, there are a few steps you need to follow. Nothing complicated, you will be guided through the whole process. Once registered, you have to pay the test fee.

Once you have paid the test fee then you are all set! You will receive a confirmation email with your test dates. The Speaking part of the test is scheduled on the same day as the other parts. How to Register for the Test in Person

Whichever way you register or whichever version of IELTS you sit for, you will need to make the payment prior to the exam and you will need to show a valid government ID. You’ll need to show the same ID to identify yourself on your IELTS exam day and to pick up your official IELTS results.

Results are available online as well on the British Council website; however, the online IELTS results are not used for official purposes; you must use the TRF for official purposes.
